9 Months Old

Jameson is 9 months old now. I can hardly believe it! My little baby is rapidly becoming not so little and not so baby! At 9 months Jamo has a bunch of teeth. 8? I think. I'll have to count. Those teeth have been hard-earned, let me tell you. He is kind of a high-maintenance baby anyway, so add teething to the mix and he's really Mr. Cranky-Pants. His number 1 favorite thing to do is to have Mommy hold him. His number 2 favorite thing to do is to have Mommy sit on the floor with him. And his least favorite thing is to have Mommy any further than 3 feet away from him at all times.
Just this week he has finally started to army crawl. It has taken him this long because he discovered months ago that it is a much more efficient method of transportation to just cry and bawl until Mommy picks you up and takes you where you want to go. This still works very well, so the crawling thing isn't progressing very quickly. It is so interesting to watch other babies who are his age (or younger) and already crawling. They all seem curious and eager to explore their little worlds. Jameson, on the other hand, is usually not too interested in exploring, but he is the best little cuddler. He would happily sit on my lap, play, cuddle, and sleep all day if I'd let him. So I'm not complaining. This is me, NOT COMPLAINING. Let's just get that down for the record. In many ways I love that he isn't doing too many big things yet. That means he gets to be my baby for that much longer.

Jamo can be downright silly sometimes. He will play with you, goof around, make funny faces, and practically dance in your arms when he's happy. Jameson is also a very vocal little munchkin. When he's not bawling, he is jabbering and yelling just to hear himself. He says "Da-Da" for Brett, "Ba-Ba" for his bottle, and the ever popular, "Ma-Ma" for yours truly. Thanks to his vocal skills, Jameson has recently picked up his first instrument and is now quite proficient on the kazoo.

We just love this little guy! The kids are all completely enamored with him so he gets all the attention his little personality demands. He's such a cute and quirky little guy. We love him to death!

How wonderful it is to have a little cuddler, isn't it? Even though you get nothing done all day long...

Hey, good luck on the potty-training! Hang in there and don't give up! I know the messes are a huge headache. I already know we are in for the long-haul with diapers for Madi. And I really don't look forward to the potty-training process with her, she may be in diapers until she is 10 (hopefully not!). And, I definitely agree with you that it is time for some SUNSHINE!
