Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze

On Monday night we had our annual excursion to the local Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze. We met up with a bunch of other families and saw even more familiar faces once we were there. Monday nights in the Fall at Linder Farms - I guess it's a Mormon thing. We had a fun time and enjoyed the last of the warm weather!

The kids always enjoy the rides, especially the cow train. The hay ride is always a big hit as well. Mia insisted on doing the swings when the rest of the kids all rode the cow train, so later on when she wanted to ride the train there was no one to ride with! She had to sit in her little "car" for a while before it filled up enough to take a ride.

Brett was the official navigator through the corn maze. For all we knew, he could have been leading us in circles, but he claims to have known exactly where he was the whole time. I think he really did because he lead us around for just long enough that everyone had fun without getting sick of it by the end. Jameson had fun as Daddy's papoose for the evening.

To end the evening we took the hay ride out to the pumpkin patch and let the kids choose small pumpkins which we'll paint this weekend. Brett says he'll take them back closer to Halloween to pick bigger pumpkins, but for now these will do! We topped off the evening with several bags of fresh-off-the-fryer donuts. Mmmmmm...can't get enough of those!

One final note... if you're planning on going to the Pumpkin Patch when you are 9 months pregnant, be prepared to be the walking joke. No one can resist poking a little fun at the lady who looks like she swallowed some of the merchandise!
