Catching Up

Get ready for an onslaught of posts and pictures!  We've been having so much fun, I haven't had time to keep up on the blogging!

So, where were we?

Well, at the beginning of July we headed to Utah and spent 9 days of fun and fancy free!  The 4th of July was on a Sunday, so we got to smear the holiday from Saturday to Monday!  On Saturday evening we busted-a-gut with 2 family BBQ's.  We enjoyed seeing all the Dodds over at Scott & Karissa's place!  Avery and Tysen haven't seen each other in a while, and they had fun catching up!

We also enjoyed a BBQ and fireworks with all my extended family on my Mom's side.  It's so fun to see all my cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.  We rarely all get the chance to get together like that anymore!
Completely unrelated, but funny, story:

Here I am wearing my, now infamous (INfamous!) pink ruffled shirt.

  Earlier in the day I went shopping with my sister, Melinda.  (I have to name names to identify the responsible parties here.)  We had both tried on a few things in a store at the mall, made our purchases, then headed home.  Upon arriving home, my 14-year-old brother of all people, points out that I have my shirt on inside-out.  Say what?!?  Yeah, my shirt was on inside out.  And I walked the whole mall that way.  I take no responsibility for such an oversight - I am a mom of 5 with very few brain cells which were overcome at the time with the excitement of actually shopping without kids.  But Melinda was totally shirking her sisterly duties! So embarassing...
