Dicie is really such a creative and fun girl! For her birthday she planned a fun camping-theme party, complete with a backyard camp-out. We really lucked out and the weather was great for it.
First up was setting up the tent (Dicie insisted that this would be a super fun activity to start the evening out)! Dicie was, of course, dressed in her camping-best (she's becoming quite the little fashionista)!
The girls made fireflies out of glowsticks and hung them in the tent, then they watched a movie out there and ended up staying up till (reportedly) 2am! I'm sure they all had quite the birthday-hangover the next day!
The day after the party was actually the 1st, therefore Dicie's real birthday. It was also General Conference. We all had a nice day, but unfortunately Dicie got a pretty bad stomach ache in the evening. She opened her family gifts while feeling truly miserable! She felt better by bedtime thankfully. She's now officially in the double-digits and we're very proud of our girl who is becoming such a lovely, mature, and responsible young lady!

Looks like a lot of fun! A camping theme is a cute idea. We're awfully low-key around here for birthdays, so I haven't gone all out yet. Maybe one day!
What a great idea! It looks like such a fun party theme. That cake looks totally yummy!! We roasted s'mores over our stove in the kitchen a few weeks ago... tasty, but just not the same as over a campfire.
