Happy 7th Birthday Mia!
Mia is getting so big and becoming quite the sweet girl. She has such a happy and friendly personality. She is very forgiving and aware of the feelings of others. Mia still has an incredible imagination and loves to play pretend and draw pictures of her imaginary stories. She loves animals and has many little plush friends that she plays with. Mia is a day-dreamer, but she is also very smart! She is a good reader and does very well in school, though she probably brings home more artwork than school work! She has a lot of friends at school and is very social.
We started out her birthday right with Dad's amazing birthday pancakes!
Mia & Her New Friend Violet
Mia wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese, so we did - along with everyone else in Boise! It was so busy that we walked in then turned around and walked out! Instead we grabbed pizza from Little Caesars and ate it in the car, then we went to Game World (it's mostly an arcade with some bowling and food thrown in). We had fun there. Mia zeroed in on the toy-grabbing claw machine. She wanted one of those cute little beanie animals SO badly! Brett (the pro) tried a few times with no success. Mia gave it a go. Then I gave it a try (1st time in my life I think) and snagged a cute purple pup for the birthday girl! It was a very exciting moment that may or may not have instigated a completely spontaneous public happy-dance out of a thirty-something adult female. We won't be naming names.
Our Awesome Photo Booth Shots
Back at home Mia opened her gifts. My favorite was when she opened a new outfit (what else do you give a kid this close to Christmas?!) and declared, "New jeans! I needed some new jeans Mom!" Well gosh, if I'd only known getting clothes was so exciting...
Make a Wish!
Mia picked a Dairy Queen Ice Cream cake. (We still had regular cake from Beckham's birthday 3 days earlier.) Her cake had a snowy hill on top with penguins sliding down - SO Mia! Overall it was a happy and fun day and Mia was sweet and appreciative of all the attention!
