Finally Scrapping!

Finally, after a full year of playing around with Digital Scrapbooking, I recently started in on some official scrapping! I am notorious for collecting and hoarding supplies without using them, and yes, you can absolutely hoard digital supplies! I have SO MUCH! At least all the space it takes up is in the cyber world on my 3"x5" portable hard drive. That alone makes me feel almost guilt-free for having collected so much already without actually using it to scrapbook pages for my family.

Back to the story - Dicie is about 6 1/2 years old and I haven't scrapped a single page since the day she was born. Nothing. Nada. In a way, it's good that I waited because now I have switched to digi-scrapping and it will be nice to have it all the same from here on out. I recently scanned all of the photos that we took before we got our first digital camera, so ALL of our pictures are now digitized and organized and I am completely ready to dive into scrapbooking them.

I am pleased to say that I have finally scrapbooked some pages of my kids! I started out with baby albums for all of them. I'm still working on Dicie's, but the others are done and they look great! The albums cover just the time from birth until their blessing days. It feels so good to finally have something done! I used "quick pages" to do the albums. Quick pages are already put together in layouts, you just add your pictures and wording. They were the perfect choice for my first project because they were quick and they all coordinate!

Here are a few of my favorite pages from the baby books:
