"Planet Earth" is considerably lengthy, but the 9+ hours of this series is broken up into 11 segments, each with a distinct subject. From caves and deserts to jungles and the ocean deep, this series depicts the earth, its beautiful and varied landscapes, and the life that inhabits it.
Brett and I watched this, one or two segments at a time, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was fascinating! We were surprised how much we had never seen or heard of, that exists right here on our very own planet! Our kids have now been enjoying this series and they are captivated by it. They are all quite compassionate towards the animals that become "prey" and can all be heard urging the fleeing beasts to "watch out," and "hurry, hurry!" Despite the raw (though not grisly) reality of the food chain in action, this film is completely tame and recommended for everyone.
Do not miss this one!

Sounds interesting! Maybe Ben would actually watch it with me. Hey, I have to recommend that old TV show "Christy." Do you remember it? Ben's brother gave the first season of it to me for Christmas and I was avoiding watching it thinking I wouldn't care for it. Actually I'm really liking it! I'm getting all teary-eyed at the sad stuff and swooning at the mushy stuff. It's great! ( :
We love that movie too! We got it for my Dad for Father's Day and watched it every night for a week. It was so awesome! I want a copy for myself!
Tory got it for Christmas and we LOVE watching it all the time. I even sit and watch it with Michelle during the day and pretend like we are going to the zoo or museum.
