Sea World

The last day of our trip was spent at Sea World. Upon arriving we were greeted by a flock of flamingos taking a leisurely stroll:

We had fun visiting the various exhibits,

but the real highlight for everyone was the shows! We saw the Dolphin show, the Sea Lion show, and the Shamu show. (Those are their official names by the way - ha ha!)

The kids were completely Wow-ed by the shows. It's so fun to see the animals in action! We definitely did NOT sit in the "Soak Zones." It was too chilly to spend the rest of the day wet and if you know my kids, you know how much they would NOT like getting splashed.

We also enjoyed the hands-on opportunites at Sea World. Touching the sting rays was really fun, although Dallin would have nothing to do with it.

We did convince him to touch a starfish though. It wasn't moving quite as fast as the Sting Rays.

Sea World was a blast and we were sad to leave, as it was the last activity for our trip. We ended the day with a nice dinner at Olive Garden (we were TIRED of fast food), then spent a relaxing night at the hotel.
We had a great vacation with our two oldest munchkins and made a lot of great memories together. After a long drive back home we were sure happy to see Mia and Jameson! It's taken a week and a half to really catch up here at home, but we're finally back to some version of normal.
We're excited for this new year. I've dusted off some of my old goals and I'm ready to try and make a little progress this year. January has so far been bleak, dreary, and downright depressing, but hopefully there will be an end to it soon. There better be anyway, cuz a girl just can't thrive this way!! Sun, SUN! Wherefore art though Sun?!?!
