Jameson has recently discovered utensils. He is currently obsessed with them. And thanks to this new-found obsession, he absolutely refuses to have anything spoon-fed to him! Therefore, the daily morning oatmeal has become an artistic exercise. Really, when it comes down to it, I have been letting him feed himself everything for quite a while now. Everything except oatmeal and applesauce. So I've just given into the mess. It's totally worth it to see him shoveling oatmeal into his mouth on his own. He is so proud of himself every time!

Oh my goodness I feel you in this post. I was just cleaning up oatmeal this very morning from all over the floor etc. It is so messy. Plus you have a new kitchen so NO Messes allowed:-)
