I've had a monstrous to-do list going for the past month or so, all with the intention of completing it before the baby comes. At times I have looked at that list and been so overwhelmed that I wanted to cry! I finally got real though, and realized that my life would NOT be over if I didn't make it through my list in time, and I've let a lot of the stress go and tried to just focus on the important things and being a nice mommy!
Being as my due date is like, tomorrow, I've been trying to mark off as much of the list as I can, while also preparing some practical things for the impending change. Today the family all pitched in and we started off the day by enlisting the slave labor crew to clean. We had bathrooms cleaned, bedrooms organized, dust banished, and vacuum lines in the carpet, all by 10:00 am! (Someone needs to fill my kids in on the whole sleep-in-on-Saturday thing. But at least we were productive!)
As for the rest of my list, I've had two sewing projects going for two special occasions. One is done, and the other is well under way to a successful completion! More on those projects to come in the next few weeks. I've completed several other creative projects and I've also got my PTA responsibilities in motion. But the most satisfying check marks on that list come from the practical things that are done that will make life easier for the next little while:
Canning peaches, pears, applesauce, and pearsauce: Check
But there's one thing left on the list to do that is highest priority at this point:
LET'S HAVE THIS BABY ALREADY!!!

Angie, you are a wonder! How do you do it all? Good luck, I wish you happy contractions!
Sounds like you got plenty done before the baby. I'm excited to see your sewing projects- dresses I assume. Ok baby, you're fully cooked, time to come! Make sure someone calls me or have mom call me when you get that little one here!
Ahhh I just get chills looking at the organized canned fruit and freezer meals all ready! What an accomplishment. Those things bring me JOY beyond words to have done...and it is all done before your baby comes. Good luck with everything, we will be thinking of you!!
Wow. That's all I can say. Maybe if I made myself a list, more would get done around here! Honestly, though- all I could do for the last month and a half before Tysen came was to sit on the couch, my body hurt so much. I'm so happy you were able to get so much done! Now, go have that baby already!
