She's on the Move

This little chica thinks she owns the world.  Lately she's started to love playing on her tummy on the floor.  It was only natural what this would lead to, but I am SO not ready for it.  Scooting.  Crawling.  Rolling.  If she wants it, she can get it.

I'm in trouble.

I might actually have to vacuum now.  And I'm going to banish all toys smaller than a silver dollar.  Banish them, throw them in the trash, whatever.  (Don't tell the other kids.)

I think she's plotting against me.  My days are numbered.

She's too cute to be plotting...right?

Dun dun duuuuunnnnn!
I don't know what I'm going to do when Gideon gets to that point. I really didn't have to worry with the other kids because they didn't have small toys and they didn't make such big messes back then. Ugh.

I was reading on a blog the other day about all of the little leftover little toys on the floor...y'know the ones that don't really belong to anything. They called it "shrapnel". I thought that was hilarious and SO TRUE! I'm definitely not ready to pick up all of the "shrapnel" when Cameron starts crawling!

So far, our "shrapnel" is still safe! Tysen can't even roll over yet- he's just too chubby! He enjoys tummy time, but only if he is on my lap, or if I am right there in his face. He is acting just like Aspen did- she didn't crawl until 10 months, or walk until 15 months. That's ok by me, too! If only he could defend himself against Madi a bit, though. She still tries to scratch his hair off and gouge his eyes.
