The End of an Era

I wouldn't be a faithful Harry Potter fan (and oh, I AM) if I didn't post this. The final movie opening marks the end of an era! I think I started reading Harry Potter when the first 3 books were out. I loved reading each one and anticipating the release of the next. Brett and I both got into them and read or listened to them together. We both loved the books, but we have also really enjoyed all of the movies. Though some Potter purists dislike them, we appreciate the movies for what they are - a condensed version of the books that really bring everything to life on the screen. I will miss Harry Potter, but you can bet that the books, and later the movies, will be enjoyed in our family for years to come!

In our home we’re surrounded by tender little growing things. We water and fertilize, weed when needful, and try our best to turn the heads of our sprouting plants towards the sun. Most days we realize that gardening is hard and that our thumbs are more black than green.

Thankfully, when we rely on the Master Gardener, He watches over our field and shows us how to grow. We know the day of our harvest will come much too quickly, but we hope to find joy in the fruits of our labors. Until then we learn and do what we can to cultivate our little Munchkin Garden! Here we record our progress and all the fun and craziness along the way.
