It has become a much-anticipated annual tradition to visit Linder Farms, also known as the pumpkin patch, corn maze, and home of the best freshly fried mini donuts in all of North America. I don't know how many times I've been to the pumpkin patch while looking like a pumpkin myself - perhaps that is part of the tradition as well!
We loaded up on tokens (which don't stretch too far any more when spread out over 5 kids!) and the kids had fun riding the barrel train and the swings and walking through the petting zoo.
Avery was not so sure about the train at first - but she came around the last bend with a big smile!
The swings were a little fast for tiny little Avery, but with some cheering from the sidelines she braved it well!
The Hayride
Avery's favorite way to travel!
Once we started the corn maze it had gotten pretty dark, but that made it more fun to explore while wearing our glow-bracelets! Jameson wore one on each ankle and it was fun watching him traipse through the maze with glowing feet! The dark was hardly an obstacle for our trusty navigator, Brett, who got us through with no trouble at all.
After the maze there was just one thing left to do - get donuts! When we arrived at the booth to discover that their machine was down, our hearts were broken! The kids played in the corn box (like a sandbox, only corn) while Brett and I decided that we'd just have to save our tokens and come back another night. Yeah, they're that good. But as luck would have it, just as the kids were done playing in the corn (with every pocket, shoe, and crevice full of the stuff), the donut machine was back up and running and we were able to leave with warm memories, corn in our underwear, and most of all, hot-cinnamon-goodness in our hands!

Ooh, I'm so jealous! I wish we had some place like that around here. It looks like a lot of fun. I'm not really wanting to celebrate Halloween so much anymore, but I love all the fun fall stuff like pumpkin patches and the like. I'll have to get creative and think of some fun things for us to do despite the lack of corn "maizes." Glad you got the donuts!
This sounds exactly like the Hee Haw Farms in Pleasant Grove! We just went there on Monday, and also came home with warm apple cider & donuts (though not fried like yours- mmmm!), candy from a Trick-Or-Treating hayride, fun memories from the barrel train, goat goop on our hands from the petting zoo, and of course- corn in our underwear, shoes, and pockets! So fun!
