Indentured Servants

It's canning season again! Woo-Hoo! I think this year we set a record for the most jars of fruit done in the least amount of time. We roped the kids into helping out and had a really great assembly line going.

Dicie and Dallin cut up fruit and put it in jars

Mia was my helper at the sink peeling and removing pits
(Notice Brett there in the background with his fancy apron. Is there
anything more attractive than a man in an apron helping in the kitchen?)

I've been joking that we have our own slave labor force, but realized that a more accurate description would be indentured servants! Wikipedia defines it this way: "Indentured servitude refers to the historical practice of a person contracting to work for a fixed period of time in exchange for transportation, food, clothing, lodging and other necessities during the term of indenture." Yeah, I think that pretty much sums up our motivation for having a large family... {wink}!
