More Birthday Fun and the Corn Maze

Dicie was lucky to have her birthday stretch over several days, with her party on Saturday and her actual birthday two days later on Monday! Birthday pancakes started off the day:

We'd planned to go to Linder Farms (the Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze) for family home evening, so it worked out perfectly for a fun birthday activity! The kids rode the barrel train:

 ...and the swings:

Someone is getting too big for the swings

 Not Avery though!

Say Cheese!

Mia at the Top of the Hay-Mountain

After being a good sport and riding all the kiddie rides with her little siblings, Dicie begged to go on something more "age-appropriate." We gave in, just because it was her birthday ; ), and let her take her first ride on a zip-line!

Go Dicie!

She loved it!

Next up, we went through the corn maze! Once again Brett lived up to his reputation as a human compass and lead us through perfectly. He also lead a family home evening discussion likening the maze to our lives and the map to our scriptures! (We high-fived each other later for that one.)

Me on the Bridge

Corn Maze Memory #1: Waiting on the bridge for the hayride folks to drive under us and getting them to sing "Happy Birthday" to Dicie with us!
Corn Maze Memory #2: Mia trying to collect every fallen ear of corn in the maze!
