Handy Man

Once in a while I just can't help myself and I have to brag shamelessly about my amazing husband. Among his many wonderful qualities and talents are his handy-man skills. I was raised by two very handy parents that came from long lines of handiness and I know I took that for granted as I grew up. But now that I have my own home and family, Brett's handy skills have become a treasure to me. I love that I can take any broken item or home improvement job to him and say "fix this" or "build me this" or "install this" and he can usually do it and do it well.

This past weekend Brett built me pull-out shelves for 2 cabinets in the kitchen. We have cheap, bottom of the line, bare bones cabinets that we'll never be able to afford to replace. These particular cabinets hold my pots, pans, and assorted baking dishes, and they have been an inefficient mess for as long as we've lived here. But now, not only are the cupboards organized, but I can pull those shelves out for added convenience and efficiency!

I am SO thankful for my handy husband. I am glad to know that our children, particularly our sons, will be able to benefit from their dad's example and continue the handy-man legacy for generations to come.

I'm glad you know and appreciate what a great hubby you've got who can and WILL fix things! Good for him. I'm glad you were able to finally do something about those wretched cabinets!
