I love the way 2-year-olds talk. Some are practically unintelligible, while others speak quite well, but you can always count on them saying funny things! Lately Mia has been cracking me up. She no longer says "Yes," she says "Ya-Huh" instead! "Mia, would you like a cookie?" "Ya-Huh!" It just tickles my funny bone. Her 2-year-old cousin, Tabby, is the same way. Instead of saying "Yes" she says "Ya-Sure!" Another thing that she says in a funny way is "potty." She doesn't say "potty," she says "pobby!" This will become more significant next week when we begin "pobby"-training.
In other news, I almost lost my independent little 2-year-old at Walmart today. I was in the bakery department and Mia took off. It only took 30 seconds or so before I looked for her (I thought she'd just be on the other side of the banana display), but I couldn't find her. I couldn't hear her footsteps, she didn't come when I called her name as she usually does, and 2 minutes later I was starting to panic! Luckily, a minute later a couple of nice Walmart employees brought her to me. She had run out of the bakery section, past the deli, turned the corner, ran past the in-store McDonalds, and was headed OUT THE DOOR!! I just couldn't believe it. I was shaking for 10 minutes afterwards, it had scared me so much. Needless to say, Mia will not be allowed out in public for a LONG time without our handy child's leash.
2-year-olds. You can't help but love 'em!

Little stinker- running away like that. I haven't used my leash much yet, but I sure would after an event like that!
I like the new paper and such you are using on here- let me know what it is because I want to get it.
That is one of my biggest fears- losing one of my kids at the store, or the mall! Nowadays, you just never know who might walk off with them, so those kiddie leashes are such a good idea. I am looking for one that has the little back pack you strap on the kid. Let me know if you know where to find them because I am SURE Madi is going to need one!
Walmart is the place to go for the kid backpack-style leashes! Just make sure not to lose one of your children before you manage to buy the leash!
